Hello, world! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m excited to share a bit about myself, my family, and our busy, sport-filled lives. Let’s dive in!

Meet the Family

I’m a working mom with two fantastic sons and a husband who is utterly devoted to his Dodge Ram truck. According to him, it’s the key to getting to practices and games on time and in style. It’s practically a member of the family!

The Boys and Their Sports

My sons have played a variety of sports, keeping our schedule jam-packed and our weekends exciting. They’ve tried their hand at:

  • Football: The rough-and-tumble game that builds character and teamwork.
  • Soccer: The beautiful game that requires agility and endurance.
  • Basketball: The fast-paced sport that keeps everyone on their toes.
  • Baseball: America’s pastime, where patience and precision are key.
  • Rugby: A sport that combines the best elements of all the others and adds its own unique challenges.

Each sport brings its own set of joys, challenges, and memorable moments. From the early morning practices to the thrilling games, we’ve experienced it all.

My Equestrian Journey

While my sons are busy with their sports, I’ve found my own passion in equestrianism. I’m a novice, and although I rode as a kid, I started again just two years ago, and I’ve fallen back in love with the sport. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about working with horses and the bond that forms between rider and animal.

Learning the ropes has been an adventure.  I’m learning the basics and suspect I will always be learning. Balancing my newfound passion with my family’s busy schedule has its challenges, but it’s all worth it.

Life Lessons from Sports

Being a sports mom and an equestrian novice has taught me so much. Here are a few lessons I’ve learned along the way:

  1. Teamwork and Support: Whether on the field or at the stables, having a support system is crucial. My husband, sons, and other (team) moms have been my rock.
  2. Time Management: Juggling work, family, and sports requires excellent time management. It’s a constant balancing act, but it keeps life interesting.
  3. Perseverance: Watching my sons push through tough games and myself overcoming equestrian challenges has shown me the value of perseverance. It’s not always easy, but the rewards are immense.
  4. Enjoy the Journey: Amid the hustle and bustle, it’s important to enjoy the journey. Whether it’s a win or a loss, a perfect ride or a challenging one, every moment is part of our story.

Conclusion

That’s a little glimpse into our world. Life is busy, sometimes chaotic, but always full of love and excitement. I’m looking forward to sharing more stories, tips, and experiences with you. Stay tuned for more insights from our sport-filled life and my equestrian adventures. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Until next time,

Terri
